| There Is A Shocking Problem In The Church |
|
The Bible speaks about a horrible and shocking thing. What is so horrible? The false prophets say that there is completeness when there is none. While God is urging us to press into the Kingdom, how many false teachers are saying that there is nothing to press into. They say that you just have to learn their denominational doctrine and some speculative end-times theories. If we do not press toward the mark, there are consequences. God is speaking to Christians in (1 Corinthians 6:9-11, Hebrews 13:4, Matthew 7:21, Revelation 21:8, Romans 1:29-32, Revelation 21:27, Matthew 5:20). He has called us to overcome all of these (1 John 3:3, 1 John 5:3, Ephesians 5:26, Luke 13:23, Hebrews 5:7-9, 1 Peter 1:14-16, Galatians 6:8, Romans 10:16, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9, 2 Timothy 2:11-121). Actually, He asks us to allow Him to overcome these things in us. "A horrible and shocking thing has happened in the land: The prophets prophesy lies, the priests rule by their own authority, and my people love it this way. They dress the wound of my people as though it were not serious. 'Peace, peace,' they say, when there is no peace." Jeremiah 5:30-31 & 6:14. Many are captive to the religious systems of this age. About half of all Christian churches teach more liberalism and political correctness than they teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. They have left the Bible and the things of God to follow the ways of men. Many who teach the gospel of Jesus Christ are intent on proving that their particular organization has the completeness. The word, "peace," in the passage above, means "completeness." It is the Hebrew word, "Shalom," which is used for "hello" and "goodbye" but means "completeness." So they say, "Completeness, completeness," when there is no completeness. They say, "We have it all. No need to look further." And God is saying, "Come up higher. My salvation is so wonderful that it is beyond the understanding of your human mind. Come and partake of my mind. I will teach you of my ways and you shall walk in my paths. Come from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord. Come to the manifestation of the Sons of God, to the measure of the fullness of Christ." Flesh and blood cannot inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. (1 Corinthians 15:48-54) This speaks of a sudden change, as when the bridegoom comes. However, there were ten virgins (Christians), yet only five were allowed into the wedding (Matthew 25:1-14). And there were three stewards (Christians), but not all of them inherited (Matthew 25:14-30). Not everyone that says to Jesus, "Lord, Lord," will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but those who do the will of God. (Matthew 7:19-23) Author/Compiler Last updated: Oct, 2011
